MyKhwela is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to providing safe and affordable shuttle services for tertiary and vocational students throughout Nelson Mandela Bay. Powered by Summer Shuttle Services, it ensures reliable transportation to support educational access and mobility.

This platform manages student transport using a monthly QR code for access, connecting students with verified providers through a simple booking system.

How does it work?

Quick start, students register, are verified, and then can book and pay for services. A monthly QR code is issued for seamless access and identity confirmation at the point of service..

This accordion covers the first steps a new user takes, from registration to understanding why their account has limited access.

Register as a student
You will receive an email with an attached consent form.
On log in, left menu will only show "My Documents" & "My Profile".
This is because your account has not been activated by the admin.

This section details the specific actions the user must complete to get their account activated and gain full system access.

To activate your account, upload the required documents & update your profile.
The admin will review and approve your submission. Once your account is activated, you will be able to use the system and make you annual booking.

How to book a slot, pay for it, and get the QR code enabled?

You can now use the system to make your booking.
You pay for your slot, submit your proof of payment, and then your QR code will be activated.

This final section provides crucial information about the QR code itself its validity, content, and how it is used for verification.

A QR code is generated monthly and is valid for 1 month. It contains the student's information.
The student must produce the QR code before entering the taxi. It will be scanned to confirm their identity.
